Our charity funds around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases, stroke, vascular dementia, and diabetes are all connected, and they’re all under our microscope. Our volunteers help us fund lifesaving science to improve the lives of families and loved ones living with heart and circulatory disease. Volunteering with us is easy, flexible, and inclusive. If you can spare a few hours a week, or a couple of hours occasionally, we’d love you to join our volunteer team.
Love music, films, or gaming? We’re looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers to help sort, price, and display our wide range of donated CDs, DVDs, and games in our shop. This is an opportunity to share your love of music or film or to get a taster of a career in retail while helping us create a world free from the fear of heart disease.
Just so you know, we are unable to accept volunteers aged under 17 or with unspent criminal convictions. Please note this is an unpaid voluntary position in a friendly charity shop.
Typical tasks include:
- Keeping our music and entertainment department fully stocked and organised on the sales floor and behind the scenes in our stock room
- Sorting out donations of CDs, DVDs, and games, checking discs for scratches and recycling those that are damaged
- Sharing your love of music and film with customers whilst on the sales floor
- Following our guidelines to value and price donated CDs, DVDs, and games
