Our charity funds around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases, stroke, vascular dementia, and diabetes are all connected, and they're all under our microscope. Our volunteers help us fund lifesaving science to improve the lives of families and loved ones living with heart and circulatory disease. Volunteering with us is easy, flexible, and inclusive. If you can spare a few hours a week, or a couple of hours occasionally, we’d love you to join our volunteer team.
Interested in fashion and trends? Know your brands and designer labels? Love accessorising your look? If this sounds like you then we have your perfect volunteering role. Get involved in selecting, cleaning, labelling, and displaying the amazing stock of fashion accessories in our charity shop. This is a volunteer opportunity to share your love of fashion, or to get a taster of a career in retail, and you'll be helping the British Heart Foundation fund lifesaving research.
Just so you know, we are unable to accept volunteers aged under 17 or with unspent criminal convictions. Please note this is an unpaid voluntary position in a friendly charity shop.
Typical tasks include:
- Following our display guidelines to create attractive displays of fashion accessories in our shop
- Keeping our accessories department fully stocked with fresh items
- Sorting out and cleaning donated bags, shoes, belts, and jewellery
- Following our guidelines to value and price donated accessories
