We are a charity that funds around £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases, stroke, vascular dementia and diabetes are all connected and under our microscope. Our volunteers help fund lifesaving science that improves the lives of families and loved ones living with heart and circulatory disease.
We are looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours a week, or occasional short shifts, to assist in our charity shop. Volunteers will help select, clean, label and display the amazing stock of fashion accessories. This role is ideal for anyone interested in fashion, trends and brands, and offers a chance to taste a career in retail while supporting the British Heart Foundation’s vital research. We are unable to accept volunteers aged under 17 or with unspent criminal convictions. This is an unpaid voluntary position in a friendly charity shop.
Responsibilities- Follow display guidelines to create attractive displays of fashion accessories in our shop
- Keep the accessories department fully stocked with fresh items
- Sort, clean donated bags, shoes, belts and jewellery
- Value and price donated accessories according to our guidelines
- 25% discount on donated goods and 10% discount on New Goods in our shops
- Unlimited, free, and confidential support by Retail Trust
