Every year, a team of brave and dedicated ice hockey players get together to play a tournament for British Heart Foundation. This year, the event is in Cardiff, and we need your help to represent BHF at our event stand.
What would I be doing?
Each day of the tournament, we will have a stand, giving out literature, engaging the public in conversation and taking donations via cash and card. This is a fantastic opportunity if you would like to let the public know about the BHF’s lifesaving research and have fun at a great event too!
What skills and experience do I need?
No previous experience or specific skills are required for this role, just enthusiasm and confidence to speak to people about BHF.
Would I need to bring anything?
You will need to bring lunch, but water and snacks will be available throughout the day. We will also provide you with a BHF t-shirt for you to wear. As the venue is an ice rink, we advise that you bring some extra layers, so you don’t get cold.

- Sunday 27th July – 10am – 1pm
- Sunday 27th July – 1pm – 4pm

The BHF is committed to ensuring that you have an enjoyable and worthwhile experience and feel confident, safe and supported in your role. We will provide role specific information which may involve a virtual briefing session depending on the size of the opportunity and are always on hand for additional support. Expenses
The BHF is committed to ensuring that no volunteer is out of pocket because of expenses incurred whilst carrying out their role. Please note that travel expenses are capped at £25 for events; we encourage local support wherever possible to help manage costs.
