What will I be doing?
- Helping with general administrative tasks
- Reviewing references submitted for volunteers and contacting referees
- Drafting and issuing reference letters for existing volunteers
- Data Exploration & Data Entry
How much time do BHF need?
We are looking for a volunteer who would be able to volunteer regularly for approximately 25 hours a week in August and September. We can be flexible with timings and days so this will be discussed at the informal interview for this position.
What skills and experience do I need?
You don't need previous experience for this role, as full training and support will be provided. This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable, has good communication skills and attention to detail. You will need to be comfortable completing administrative tasks, using the telephone and Microsoft.
What training and support will I get?
All volunteers will complete training on MyVolunteer before volunteering to ensure you are confident and happy in your role. During your volunteering you will be supported by a BHF member of staff and/or an experienced BHF volunteer who will provide you with the resources and support you need.
What will I get out of volunteering?
Whether you can give a few hours or full days, you will make an impact as your time helps fund vital research and supports those affected by heart disease. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and have some fun whilst making a lifesaving difference. Yes, reasonable expenses covered in line with our policy.
