British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK’s largest independent funder of cardiovascular disease research. We can find better ways to prevent, treat and cure conditions that rob so many of us of our loved ones. But we can’t do it alone. By volunteering for us, you are helping us fund lifesaving research to unlock treatments that could give someone a longer, healthier life. From babies born with a heart condition to people recovering from a devastating heart attack, you can help us give people more time with the ones they love.

Responsibilities

What will I be doing? Tasks will vary but may include:

  • Helping with general administrative tasks that support the smooth running of the Marketing team
  • Supporting with finance-related administration with guidance from the team
  • Assisting with point of sale (POS) administration, which may include dealing with requests, supplier communication or coordination of marketing materials
  • Providing general support with warehouse and distribution administration
  • Supporting with internal communications administration, such as helping to gather information, drafting toolkits or preparing materials for review by the team

Time commitment

We are looking for a volunteer who would be able to volunteer regularly for approximately six hours a week from September. We can be flexible with timings and days so this will be discussed at the informal interview for this position.

Skills and experience

You don’t need previous experience for this role, as full training and support will be provided. This role would suit someone who is organised, reliable, has good communication skills and attention to detail. You will need to be comfortable completing administrative tasks, using the telephone and Microsoft.

Training and support

All volunteers will complete training on MyVolunteer before volunteering to ensure you are confident and happy in your role. During your volunteering you will be supported by a BHF member of staff and/or an experienced BHF volunteer who will provide you with the resources and support you need.
