As Senior Conference & Events Sales Co-ordinator, you will support the Conference & Events Sales function by managing high-value and complex enquiries, supporting conversion of business, and ensuring smooth coordination between sales, operations, and clients. You will also take a leading role in coaching colleagues, supporting process improvement, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality event sales and coordination standards.

Responsibilities

  • Sales, Enquiry Management
    • Manage high-value, high-complexity conference and events enquiries across phone, email, and online channels;
    • Prepare proposals, negotiate with clients, and convert enquiries into confirmed business;
    • Conduct show rounds and client presentations to a high standard;
    • Manage enquiry distribution and inbox activity, ensuring timely responses and effective prioritisation;
    • Support diary management and ensure optimal use of event space and availability.
  • Event Coordination & Delivery
    • Produce accurate function sheets and ensure all event requirements are communicated to operational teams;
    • Lead pre-event briefings for high-profile and complex bookings;
    • Support smooth coordination between sales and operations teams;
    • Ensure all client requirements are captured and delivered accurately.
  • Revenue & Performance Support
    • Support implementation of sales strategy to maximise revenue and conversion;
    • Monitor booking activity, availability, and short-term space optimisation;
    • Assist with competitor analysis and market awareness activities;
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and repeat business.
  • Process & Systems Management
    • Oversee enquiry inbox management on allocated days;
    • Support allocation of outstanding or past-date enquiries to ensure follow-up;
    • Conduct daily/regular checks on event status, availability, and operational readiness;
    • Maintain accurate records across sales and event systems.
  • Leadership & Coaching
    • Support coaching and development of junior Conference & Events Sales Coordinators;
    • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members;
    • Promote high standards of customer service, sales technique, and process accuracy.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement
    • Support post-event feedback collection and follow-up processes;
    • Contribute to monthly conversion and performance improvement initiatives;
    • Assist in driving departmental sales initiatives and improvement activities.
