CNC Programmer / Setter Relocation packages available Β£36,000 - Β£42,000 per annum, DOE Established in 2002, our client has grown significantly within the precision engineering sector, becoming a trusted supplier of high-quality components to the subcontract manufacturing market. They continue to invest heavily year on year in advanced machine tools and inspection equipment, ensuring a modern, stable and forward-thinking working environment. Working Hours Standard hours (39 hours paid monthly):

  • Monday-Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
  • Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

Flexible working arrangements are available where possible, including adjusted start times to support home commitments or appointments, with hours made up across the month where needed. Shift flexibility may also be available, for example

  • 05:30 - 14:30 Monday-Thursday
  • 05:30 - 10:30 Friday

The Role

Due to continued growth, ongoing investment, and the upcoming addition of a new multitasking bar-fed machine, our client is looking to recruit a full-time CNC Setter/Programmer to join their team in Burton-on-Trent.

Key responsibilities

  • Programming CNC machines, primarily multi-axis twin turret lathes
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and determining efficient manufacturing methods
  • Reading engineering drawings, identifying errors, and suggesting improvements
  • Setting, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery
  • Supporting continuous improvement within production processes

Requirements

Essential

  • Proven CNC machining experience (twin turret / multi-axis experience highly desirable)
  • Ability to read, edit, and write CNC programs
  • Confident in setting and operating machines efficiently using initiative
  • Strong organisational and time management skillsCompetent in using conventional inspection and measuring equipment

Desirable

  • CAD/CAM experience would be a strong advantage
