The Role
As Senior Account Executive, you'll be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial clients, combining new business activity with ongoing account management and client support. This is a consultative, relationship-focused role where you'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide practical insurance solutions that support their businesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop new commercial insurance opportunities across a variety of sectors
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through networking, referrals, and market activity
- Attend client meetings and industry events to build relationships and generate opportunities
- Prepare and present tailored insurance proposals
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of commercial clients
- Carry out regular client reviews to ensure cover remains suitable and competitive
- Support clients throughout the policy lifecycle, including renewals and adjustments
- Work closely with insurers to secure appropriate cover and competitive terms
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and develop existing client accounts
- Stay up to date with market trends, insurer appetite, and FCA requirements
- Work collaboratively with internal broking and support teams to deliver a smooth client experience
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity
Qualifications
- Commercial insurance experience, ideally within a broker environment
- Good understanding of commercial insurance products and markets
- Ability to develop business and build strong client relationships
- Cert CII qualified
- Experience using insurance platforms (Acturis preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Organised, proactive, and client-focused approach
Compensation and Benefits
