OTE £140k+ uncapped | Pre-IPO opportunity

Are you a proven enterprise software sales professional with a track record selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions? Most sales roles ask you to hit a number. This one asks you to help change how millions of people access housing and council services while building genuine equity in a company heading toward IPO.

We are partnering exclusively with one of the UK's leading AI-powered Digital Experience (DXP) solution providers to the Housing and Local Government sectors. For more than 20 years they have delivered innovative and integrated digital platforms that help housing providers and local authorities improve resident and citizen access, staff engagement and operational efficiency. Today they’ve delivered 350+ digital solutions across UK social housing and public sector organisations and are entering an ambitious scale-up phase as they significantly expand their solutions and market presence. They are now looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of growth.

The opportunity

This is a strategic new business role where you will take ownership of developing new Housing and Local Government relationships based on well proven existing solutions within an established customer base. You will work directly with senior stakeholders and sell enterprise-grade, six-figure Digital Experience Solutions including resident self-service portals, tenant engagement apps, and citizen portals into complex, multi-layered organisations. In your first year, success looks like: building a qualified pipeline across a defined territory, closing your first six-figure deals, and becoming the trusted voice your customers call before they call anyone else.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving new business growth across a defined territory, building on an established customer base
  • Developing and managing a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and digital teams
  • Leading complex sales cycles from discovery through to close
  • Delivering compelling demonstrations, proposals and business cases
  • Working closely with executive, product and delivery teams

What they’re looking for

They’re seeking a commercially driven sales professional who combines ambition with a thoughtful, consultative approach. You will bring:

  • A strong track record in enterprise B2B software sales, ideally selling multi-faceted solutions into organisations with complex, layered stakeholder structures
  • Confidence building business cases and demonstrating ROI
  • Knowledge of considered, relationship-led sales – long cycles, senior stakeholders, and deals that get built on trust rather than volume
  • Comfort operating with autonomy in a scale-up

What they offer

  • Basic £60,000-£75,000
  • OTE £140k+ uncapped
  • Pre-IPO share options
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days in the office, potentially 2 when settled)
  • A supportive, collaborative commercial team
  • Comprehensive benefits including 24/7 GP access, wellbeing support and retail discounts
  • Significant career progression opportunities as the company scales

Most importantly, you’ll be joining a business where your work genuinely matters, helping housing providers and local authorities deliver better services while building your career within a successful and ambitious software technology company.

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
