We are exclusively supporting a progressive technology driven financial services business within Central London, to recruit a Trainee Accountant to support the CFO within a highly automated finance function. This is a hybrid position, working 4 days at home and 1 day in the office. The ideal candidate will need to keep up to date with technological developments as the company continues to utilise technology to streamline processes and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business open to providing full study support including exams, books, courses and fees for your ACCA / CIMA exams.
Responsibilities:
- Processing remittance and allocating payments
- Managing the finance inbox, managing queries and escalating non-routine matters appropriately
- Identifying and following up on errors in payments
- Responding to non-finance staff queries
- Becoming a ‘super user’ of our systems
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives, improving efficiency, service quality, reducing costs through automation whilst challenging the status quo and innovation
- Month end processing of payments due and drawdowns
- Weekly employee expense payments & processing
- New employee onboarding administration, including pension setup and HR system processing
- Weekly supplier payment run (plus any other ad-hoc runs as required)
- Reconciliation of the bank accounts in the finance system
- Preparation of month end Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet
- Assisting with the audit process
- Preparation of regular monthly and quarterly compliance reporting for capacity and regulators
- Other ad-hoc compliance, investor, auditor, VAT, tax, capacity or regulatory reporting
