Our client is an established and ambitious software company-digital agency, owned by a very successful entrepreneur. They have a newly created opportunity available for Creative and User Experience Manager to join their team in central Woking.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for managing products throughout the lifecycle, contributing to the product Roadmap, writing specifications and managing the day-to-day projects within the development team.
You will:
- Direct and guide a team of 4 to meet the company’s vision, commercial opportunities and customer needs.
- Be actively involved with and oversee all design and front-end development output for customers and internal projects, striving for excellence.
- Drive the UI/UX design of the products forward and strive to ensure these stay ahead of the curve and competition.
- Actively seek website and other relevant customer data and insight to drive informed understanding of how customers would use their digital interfaces, and what improvements could be actioned to improve the UX of their products and solutions.
- Create strategic proposals and pitches for new business prospects and organic growth opportunities.
- Drive the highest professional standards in Creative Design, UX/UI and create the right conditions for the team to do their best work based on clear guidelines based on industry best practice.
- Use your digital expertise and experience to do what is right for 'the customer'.
- Adopt a 'continuous improvement' mindset: always looking for opportunities to improve the experience and performance of all journeys.
- Build and mentor a team capable of delivering outstanding design solutions for our most complex projects, working with partners and specialist freelancers as required.
- Own the training and development plans, focusing on up skilling, cross-discipline knowledge growth, and career progression.
- Support the business by researching and onboarding cutting edge innovations that may influence how the business continues to evolve its offerings, developing the existing services in line with current industry trends and customer needs.
- Oversee strategy work for customers across experience optimisation, customer journey mapping, website design and build, research analysis and insights.
- Scope, design, and implement new processes within and involving your department, collaborating closely with the wider teams.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have 5+ years experience of relevant experience.
- Have an excellent grasp of the principles of UX design and/or human cognitive principles.
- Have solid experience on User journey mapping, Information Architecture, user research, creative web design and development, and performance marketing.
- Be commercially driven and experienced in negotiating commercial agreements.
- Have excellent customer-facing skills and confident working closely with internal/external stakeholders.
- Have in-depth and practical knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite with extensive digital and creative knowledge.
- Have good copy-writing skills.
- Be aware of Digital Marketing principles and how best to promote products and services.
- Have good knowledge of front-end development and best practice.
- Have knowledge on LESS, CSS, jQuery and HTML.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm - hybrid in the office 3 days.
