Cameron Mackintosh Limited are currently seeking an experienced, highly organised Second Assistant to join the team at our busy London office, providing dedicated support within a Director’s office. This is a varied administrative role at the heart of a fast‑paced theatre production company. A ‘can do’ attitude, flexibility and discretion are all important attributes. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) is essential.
In view of the nature of this position and the broad variety of tasks involved, the successful candidate will be an experienced PA or Secretary who enjoys bringing structure, efficiency and calm to a busy environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in supporting others, has excellent attention to detail and is looking for a long‑term position within a close‑knit team. The role is most suited to a person who has already gained demonstrable experience and confidence of working in an office environment – this may not necessarily have been within the arts/cultural sector, but an interest in musical theatre will be beneficial.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of a key Director's office, providing exceptional administrative support and working in close partnership with the Director's long‑standing Assistant to ensure the smooth running of a busy and fast‑paced office.

Location: Number One, Bedford Square, London. WC1B 3RB. Nearest Tubes: Tottenham Court Road and Russell Square.
Appearance: The Second Assistant will be expected to dress in casual but smart office attire.
Start: To be agreed, as soon as possible.
Hours of work: 09:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch, time to be advised. The nature of our business is such that reasonable flexibility of these hours will be expected. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative support and general office duties. The nature of this position is such that daily tasks and duties may vary but will include:
- Managing busy and ever‑changing diaries
- Requesting travel fare quotes and creating accurate and often complicated travel itineraries involving both domestic and global travel
- Monitoring emails and correspondence and responding where appropriate
- Handling confidential information with absolute discretion
- Managing office supplies including stationery, postal needs and refreshments
- Creating, updating and maintaining filing systems, contacts and schedules
- Booking ground travel and couriers in the UK and abroad
- Coordinating meetings
- Booking restaurants and hotels
- Managing guest lists and assisting in the smooth running of Press Nights and special events as required
- Organising House Seats and hospitality
- Assisting with general office administration and ensuring the smooth running of the Director’s office
- Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks as required
