Interim Regulatory Accountant
Central London
£70,000 pro-rated + Benefits
3 months contract Temp-to-Perm  - 5 days in office

We are seeking an immediately available Regulatory Accountant with hands-on experience in regulatory accounting within banking for a dynamic, Central London-based opportunity. This 3-month contract offers up to £70,000 pro rata plus  benefits, with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent role.
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Manager, you’ll join a respected international bank (identity confidential) focused on delivering excellence in regulatory compliance during a period of rapid activity. You’ll play a vital role in the preparation, review, and submission of key regulatory returns (COREP, LCR, NSFR, MLAR, PRA110, and others) to UK authorities. The bank’s environment requires agility, attention to detail, and advanced Excel—including proficiency with macros—to support and improve manual processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the accurate, timely production of key regulatory returns and reports for UK regulators.
  • Work closely with Finance, Risk, and Treasury teams to gather and validate data.
  • Perform reconciliations, variance analysis, and maintain strong documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Respond confidently to ad hoc queries and drive improvements as regulations and reporting templates evolve.
  • Support automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting.
About You:
  • Foreign banking experience is essential—you’re familiar with manual reporting processes.
  • Immediately available or on a short notice period.
  • Familiarity with COREP, LCR. NSFR, PRA110 and MLAR returns.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting within banking.
  • Strong excel skills; experience with regulatory reporting system WIRES –Whistlebrook.
  • Experienced in preparing Liquidity, Capital and BOE returns
  • Highly analytical, with exceptional Excel (macros, complex formulas) and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and deadline-driven processes.
  • Professional qualifications/pathways such as ACCA or CIMA are advantageous.
