An established wealth management business is looking to hire an Operations Officer to join its Reconciliations team. This is a strong opportunity for someone with operations experience to step into a broad, hands-on role covering UK and international reconciliations.
You will be joining a collaborative team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cash, stock, and custody positions, while playing a key role in resolving breaks and improving processes.
The Role:- Perform daily reconciliation of cash and stock accounts across UK and international entities.
- Reconcile safe custody assets and external bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies efficiently.
- Work closely with internal teams to reduce and clear outstanding items.
- Ensure all reconciliations meet internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and reconcile stamp duty, including reclaim processes.
- Contribute to process improvements within the reconciliations function.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Maintain and update operational procedures.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in wealth management or banking operations.
- Strong reconciliations experience (cash, stock, custody preferred).
- Understanding of UK regulatory environment; Crown Dependencies exposure is advantageous.
- Experience with Avaloq or similar systems is beneficial.
- SWIFT knowledge is a plus.
