Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive UK payroll experience is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in calculating holiday, sick, and maternity pay.

- Experience with SAP (and its cloud-based modules) or similar HR/Payroll systems is desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an advantage.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to take ownership of the full payroll cycle for all UK employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and compliance with all relevant regulations. You’ll be a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, working collaboratively with HR and other internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of in-house UK payroll processing using payroll software.
- Process monthly payroll accurately and distribute payments to employees and relevant parties within deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations (FPS, P45s), pension administration, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare and reconcile year-end filings and ensure distribution.
- Support the HR, Shares, Tax, and Accounting teams on payroll matters.
- Calculate PAYE and NI taxes accurately.
- Calculate Maternity Leave pay accurately.
- Perform data entry in HR and payroll systems.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, responding to HMRC inquiries as needed.
- Support cross-training and team objectives.
