A UK-based bank is looking for a motivated, hands-on Oracle FLEXCUBE Functional Application Analyst to join its IT team.

You'll be the key link between business stakeholders, an extensive functional IT team based in Cairo, and Oracle - translating business requirements into effective system solutions and resolving functional issues across a core banking platform.

What you'll be doing

Support: Provide functional support across Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking, including Core Banking, OBPM Payments, OBCL Corporate Lending, OBTF Trade Finance, OBTR Treasury Management, OBO Origination, OBCLPM Corporate Lending, OBBRN Branch Management, ELCM Enterprise Limits & Collateral Management, and OBDX Oracle Banking Digital Experience (online and mobile banking).

  • Business

Analysis: Run workshops with stakeholders, gather and document business requirements, produce BRDs, functional specs and process maps, and perform gap analysis to recommend solutions aligned with FLEXCUBE best practice.

  • Change Delivery: Coordinate application enhancements and change initiatives, manage functional testing and UAT, and support production deployments through to business-as-usual.
  • IT Project

Delivery: Support strategic transformation projects spanning FLEXCUBE Treasury and Capital Markets, OBDX, payment system enhancements, SWIFT and payment hub integration, regulatory change, and core banking upgrades.

  • Business Process Improvement: Review and simplify operational workflows, promote automation, and support audit and regulatory initiatives relating to application controls.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking and its modules.
  • Strong understanding of banking products and operational processes.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience supporting business users in a production environment.
  • Experience managing application changes and software releases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing.
  • Strong documentation skills and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Share Point and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX).
  • Experience implementing Treasury or Capital Markets solutions.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT payments and messaging, and ISO 20022.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Banking APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud or middleware.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in regulated financial services.
  • Oracle University FLEXCUBE certification, a Business Analysis qualification (BCS/IIBA), or PRINCE2/Agile project delivery certification.
