We are partnering with a leading and highly regarded real estate investment platform seeking an experienced Manager β Real Estate Accounting to take ownership of a sizeable accounting function and lead a high-performing team. This is a pivotal leadership role suited to an individual with strong technical accounting expertise across real estate structures, combined with proven experience managing and developing teams within a fast-paced, professional environment.
The Role
- You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes across a portfolio of real estate assets and structures, while managing a team of up to 15 professionals.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Overseeing fund and SPV accounting across complex real estate structures.
- Reviewing and approving financial statements, management accounts, and investor reporting.
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Acting as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
- Driving process improvements, controls, and operational efficiencies across the function.
- Supporting senior leadership with strategic reporting and business insights.
The Candidate
- Significant experience within real estate, private equity, or fund accounting environments.
- Proven team management experience, ideally overseeing teams of 8β15 individuals.
- Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS within real estate structures.
- Experience working with complex SPVs, joint ventures, and multi-entity structures.
- Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence at senior level.
- Highly organised with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
