The UCITS Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business and managing relationships across the UK and/or European wholesale, intermediary, wealth, private bank, and institutional channels. The role will focus on promoting the firm’s UCITS fund range, growing assets under management, and deepening client engagement through a strong understanding of investment products, distribution dynamics, and investor needs.
Key responsibilities
- Drive sales of the firm’s UCITS fund range across agreed client segments.
- Build and maintain relationships with wealth managers, platforms, fund buyers, IFAs, discretionary managers, private banks, family offices, and institutional allocators.
- Identify new business opportunities and convert them into long-term revenue relationships.
- Deliver product presentations, investment pitches, and client reviews.
- Work closely with product, portfolio management, marketing, and client service teams to support distribution strategy.
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients and support the implementation of new mandates where required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and investor demand to inform sales strategy.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, call activity, and client reporting through CRM.
- Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, seminars, and industry events.
- Support preparation of RFPs, DDQs, sales materials, and investment commentary.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and compliance standards.
Experience and skills
- Proven track record in asset management sales, ideally within UCITS, mutual funds, or broader investment management distribution.
- Strong knowledge of fund structures, asset classes, investment terminology, and client due diligence processes.
- Experience selling to wholesale, intermediary, platform, wealth, or institutional clients.
- Excellent relationship-building and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial instinct with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
- Confident communicator with credibility at senior client level.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of FCA/regulatory requirements relevant to fund distribution.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing a structured sales pipeline.
Desirable
- Existing network within the UK or European investment management market.
- Knowledge of UCITS distribution across cross-border markets.
- Foreign language skills, especially French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
- Experience with ESG, multi-asset, fixed income, equity, or alternatives fund ranges depending on the firm’s product set.
