We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates eager to develop their accounting skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training to become a qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and validation of daily trading P&L/NAVs.
- Support portfolio pricing activities.
- Capture all trading-related fees accurately.
- Contribute to the month-end process for trading portfolios and entities.
- Aid in tax analysis and reporting related to trading activities.
- Assist with audit cycles and related tasks.
- Prepare and maintain accruals and prepayments schedules.
- Help in the preparation of management accounts.
- Work on process improvement initiatives and enhance controls.
Requirements:
- A keen understanding of core liquid products and trading mechanisms (e.g., cash equities, equity swaps, FX, listed equity options, bonds, ETFs).
- Strong numeracy skills and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying variances and flagging issues.
