A leading brokerage firm is looking for an experienced Equity Settlements Analyst to join its Operations team. This is a hands-on role ensuring timely and accurate settlement of equity trades and supporting front-office and clients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely settlement of equity trades across UK and international markets.
  • Monitor, investigate and resolve trade and settlement breaks, fails and mismatches.
  • Liaise with brokers, custodians, counterparties and internal teams to resolve settlement issues.
  • Perform daily reconciliations and confirmations in line with market deadlines and internal controls.
  • Support process improvement, automation and control enhancements within the settlements function.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Recent, relevant experience in equity settlements within a broker, investment bank or similar financial institution.
  • Mandatory: Hands-on experience with CTM (Omgeo/DTCC Central Trade Manager) and Gloss – candidates without both systems will not be considered.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes and market deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and comfort working under time pressure.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with front office, operations and external counterparties.
