Dealing Assistant – Financial Markets | Leicester (Office-Based) An established, independently-owned UK investment firm β€” providing stockbroking, clearing and custody, and investment management services to retail investors, IFAs and professional intermediaries β€” is looking for a Dealing Assistant to join their team at their Leicester head office. This is a genuine entry point into financial markets. No previous trading experience is required β€” we're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, confident communication skills, and the ambition to build a long-term career in trading and investment operations. What you'll be doing: Liaising directly with market counterparties to ensure trades are agreed and settled on time Working across front and back office to coordinate trading and operational activity Supporting traders, stockbrokers and fund managers with day-to-day activity Resolving trade-related queries with clients and counterparties Investigating and helping resolve trading and operational issues Ensuring accurate record-keeping and communication across teams What we're looking for: Confident on the phone with clients and market counterparties Excellent attention to detail Comfortable working across multiple teams and stakeholders Strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment Good with numbers and financial information A genuine interest in financial markets and a desire to progress Prior experience in financial services, stockbroking or investment operations is a plus, but not essential Career progression: This role is designed as a genuine stepping stone. You'll be sponsored through relevant industry qualifications, with a clear path toward progressing into a trading role for the right candidate.
