An established international forex brokerage and CFD trading company is seeking a Financial Director to join its leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, global business environment where innovation and operational excellence are at the forefront.
Location: 3 days per week in the office, with some overseas travel required
Salary: £120,000 – £125,000 per annum, plus performance‑related bonus and benefits
Role Overview
Reporting to the CEO and other senior Exco, the Financial Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the financial strategy of the business while providing hands‑on management of both local and international finance teams. This individual will be responsible for ensuring robust financial operations, driving efficiency, and supporting business growth across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives including fiscal planning.
- Oversee the preparation of group consolidated financial statements, management accounts, and reporting packs.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing insight and analysis to support decision‑making.
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance team both locally and overseas, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Partner closely with senior management and stakeholders to drive commercial performance, control costs, and maximise profitability.
- Oversee cash‑flow management, treasury, liquidity management, and risk controls across the group.
- Ensure the efficient implementation of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Support cross‑border expansion initiatives and act as a financial adviser on strategic projects and M&A activities.
- Travel occasionally internationally to oversee regional finance functions and ensure global alignment of financial governance.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience.
- Proven background as a senior finance leader in a complex, multinational organisation, within a Forex broker or trading firm or CFD firm.
- Understanding of MT4 or MT5 data highly advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting, consolidation, and international financial regulations.
- Commercially astute with a demonstrable track record in driving performance and profitability.
- Hands‑on leader capable of balancing strategic oversight with operational responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as required.
