The opportunity

As a Senior Paraplanner, you’ll apply strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning to prepare detailed research, cashflow models, and suitability reports. You’ll play an active part in complex client cases while supporting planners with efficient, compliant, and client-centric advice solutions. Alongside your core responsibilities, you’ll have the chance to mentor junior paraplanners, share best practices, and contribute to continuous improvements in processes and documentation. This is the perfect role for someone who enjoys both technical depth and collaborative teamwork.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis across a range of financial planning solutions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports and client documents.
  • Complete detailed calculations and cashflow models to support recommendations.
  • Identify future planning opportunities to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Support, coach, and guide less experienced paraplanners.
  • Contribute to process improvements and help shape best practice across the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and ensure adherence to FCA regulations.

About you

  • Proven experience providing a first-class paraplanning service within a financial planning or wealth management environment.
  • In-depth understanding of pensions, investments, and protection, including complex planning areas.
  • RQF Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) – studying towards Chartered status is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, written, and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with XPlan and cashflow modelling tools beneficial.

What’s on offer

A collaborative, supportive team culture focused on continual learning and professional growth. Ongoing study support and CPD to progress toward Chartered Financial Planner status. The opportunity to contribute to meaningful client outcomes and shape the future of the paraplanning function.
