The role:

As Deputy Head of Building Control, you'll lead a team of inspectors and take ownership of complex projects β€” including high-risk and in-scope buildings under the Building Safety Act 2022. You'll be the service's key link with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) and the regional hub.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing Specialist, Building, and Trainee Inspectors
  • Discharging delegated powers under the Building Act 1984, Building Safety Act 2022
