Dealing Assistant – Financial Markets | Leicester (Office-Based)
An established, independently-owned UK investment firm — providing stockbroking, clearing and custody, and investment management services to retail investors, IFAs and professional intermediaries — is looking for a Dealing Assistant to join their team at their Leicester head office.
This is a genuine entry point into financial markets. No previous trading experience is required — we're looking for someone with strong attention to detail, confident communication skills, and the ambition to build a long-term career in trading and investment operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Liaising directly with market counterparties to ensure trades are agreed and settled on time
- Working across front and back office to coordinate trading and operational activity
- Supporting traders, stockbrokers and fund managers with day-to-day activity
- Resolving trade-related queries with clients and counterparties
- Investigating and helping resolve trading and operational issues
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and communication across teams
What we're looking for:
- Confident on the phone with clients and market counterparties
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment
- Good with numbers and financial information
- A genuine interest in financial markets and a desire to progress
- Prior experience in financial services, stockbroking or investment operations is a plus, but not essential
