Cost Engineer – Exceptional Opportunity

£35 - 40 per hour

Ready to drive the next era of luxury mobility and technological innovation? We are seeking a talented Cost Engineer to join our client's Purchasing team at one of the UK’s most prestigious automotive companies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate product, development, and investment costs across current/future vehicle platforms.
  • Lead and support cost reduction initiatives with technical and costing expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unlock cost-saving opportunities and manage risks.
  • Support sourcing and negotiations for new components using in-depth analysis.
  • Champion process improvements at team and company level.

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the value, efficiency, and sustainability of our luxury product line—right at the heart of innovation and collaborative decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Product cost management and process planning experience in a production or engineering environment.
  • Background in purchasing, procurement, and automotive/industrial cost estimating.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, value analysis, and component manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with product costing software (like Siemens TcPCM) is a plus.
