Are you ready to take the next step in your retail banking career? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Retail Banking Assistant to support Relationship Managers in delivering first-class client service. You will play an essential role in ensuring smooth account operations, compliant onboarding, and day-to-day client administration within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Relationship Managers with account opening, amendments, and closures.
- Prepare account opening documentation and packs, ensuring all required KYC information is collected and complete.
- Conduct customer due diligence checks including World-Check screening, risk assessments and adverse media reviews for both personal and corporate clients.
- Manage client onboarding tasks including debit card issuance and online banking setup, as well as follow-up on any pending items.
- Assist with account remediation and periodic reviews in line with financial crime, AML and internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and data protection at all times, ensuring sensitive client information is handled securely.
- Update and amend client records on internal systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver efficient and accurate client service.
- Support Relationship Managers with ad-hoc client and banking administration tasks as required.
About You:
- Degree-qualified, ideally in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Up to 3 years’ experience in a retail, private or commercial banking environment.
- Strong understanding of banking products, customer due diligence (CDD), and onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with AML/KYC screening tools such as World-Check and exposure to financial crime risk assessments is highly desirable.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Team-oriented, professional, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
