We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner / Senior HR Business Partner to partner with senior leaders in a regulated financial services environment. This role will support the delivery of the People Strategy while also helping to strengthen organisational capability, people-risk management, and governance across a complex, FCA-regulated business.
The successful candidate will bring strong HR business partnering experience, deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and the confidence to influence at senior level. This is a broad and high-impact role covering:
- Employee relations
- Organisational design
- Remuneration governance
- Workforce planning
- Regulatory MI
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, succession, and capability.
- Leading HR support across assigned business areas, ensuring alignment with business and people strategy.
- Providing strategic employee relations guidance and managing complex cases with a risk-aware approach.
- Supporting retail and front-office teams on competence, conduct, and people-risk matters.
- Partnering with Compliance on SMCR ownership, certification, fit and proper assessments, conduct rules training, and documentation.
- Producing SMCR MI and supporting governance reporting for ExCo, Risk Committee, and Board.
- Supporting MiFIDPRU-related people governance, including competence, capability, remuneration, and reward risk.
- Working closely with T&C teams to align competence frameworks, CPD, supervision MI, and regulatory training.
- Leading the review and maintenance of HR policies and procedures from a legal and regulatory perspective.
- Supporting compensation processes including salary review, benchmarking, job evaluation, and variable pay governance.
- Producing high-quality MI and workforce analytics to support decision-making and identify emerging risks.
- Leading or supporting HR workstreams within transformation, restructuring, and regulatory change programmes.
Requirements:
- Strong HR Business Partnering experience in a regulated financial services environment.
- Strong employee relations experience, including senior-level and complex cases.
- Experience supporting compensation, reward, or variable pay processes.
- Confidence producing MI and using data to inform decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and business judgement.
