My Client, a well established civil engineering contractor is actively recruiting for an accomplished Quantity Surveyor to augment its cost management team in the East Midlands.
As the Quantity Surveyor your main responsibilities will include:
- The preparation and management of budgets for groundworks projects and conducting cost estimations (including pricing of materials and labour).
- Liaising with site and production teams and accurately recording progress via regular site visits, participating in frequent on-site project team meetings and ensuring a focus on any cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluating and selecting subcontractors based on experience and pricing, ensuring subcontractor payments are managed and compliant with contract terms.
- Measuring work completed on site and preparing interim valuations.
- Assisting in the preparation of final accounts.
- Preparing financial reports and forecasts for groundworks projects, and monitoring projects to identify any potential financial risks.
