SME/Commercial Broker – Leeds City Centre
Salary: Up to £35k DOE, plus bonus and flexible benefits Location: Leeds City Centre (5-minute walk from the train station) Working Model: Hybrid after probation

Our client, a leading independent insurance broker in the heart of Leeds, is looking for a talented and motivated SME/Commercial Broker to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in personal lines or a recent apprenticeship who is eager to transition into commercial broking.
What you'll do:
Working closely with senior Account Directors, you'll be instrumental in managing a diverse portfolio of SME and commercial clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and engaging, including:
- Client Management: Serving as the first point of contact for routine inquiries, providing excellent service, and building strong relationships.
- Administrative Support: Handling the full administrative cycle for accounts, including the issuance of essential documentation like invoices, policy summaries, and certificates.
- Market Engagement: Assisting in presenting risks to underwriters and negotiating the best possible terms and coverage for clients.
- Portfolio Growth: Managing your own dedicated book of smaller commercial clients, handling all aspects of the annual insurance cycle from renewal to new business.
- Sales & Cross-Selling: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to cross-sell other insurance products to existing clients, contributing to the growth of the business.
Who we're looking for:
We're seeking a professional with a solid foundation in the insurance industry.
- Experience in the Insurance industry
- Excellent communication and administrative skills are a must, along with the ability to organise your workload and prioritise tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with ACTURIS is a plus but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A proactive and adaptable approach is key, as is a keen eye for detail.
