We are supporting a well-established, privately-owned business operating within a project-driven environment to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a key leadership appointment offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the finance function and play a visible role in supporting ongoing growth. The role will suit a commercially aware and hands-on finance leader, typically an experienced Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager looking to step into a broader position with greater influence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a small finance team
- Ownership of monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting
- Cashflow management and working capital optimisation
- Supporting senior leadership with financial insight and performance analysis
- Strengthening financial controls, processes and reporting systems
- Overseeing statutory compliance including VAT and sector-specific requirements
- Partnering with operational teams to improve project and business profitability
The successful candidate will be:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Experienced within a project-based, contracting or operational environment
