We are recruiting an experienced Commercial Broking Office Manager to join a fast‑growing, award‑winning insurance brokerage specialising in SME clients across the UK. This is a senior, hands‑on role combining technical referral authority, people leadership, and operational oversight.
The Role
- Act as second‑in‑command to the Managing Director, supporting strategic planning and day‑to‑day operational management.
- Serve as the primary technical referral point for the broking teams, providing expert guidance on commercial package policies, complex renewals, and new business placements.
- Oversee and support Team Leaders, ensuring technical standards, compliance, and consistent quality of advice across sales and renewals.
- Maintain ownership of technical governance, including insurer trading queries, referral outcomes, and adherence to underwriting authority.
- Manage key operational functions such as daily performance reporting, lead allocation, file audits, complaints handling, and participation in senior management meetings.
