Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Location: Worcester – Hybrid available after probation

Salary: Up to £45,000 basic (Depending on Experience) + Flexible Benefits Package including PMI, Income Protection, Pension, Parking available, and much more!

Due to continued organic growth, our client—a leading Insurance Broker based in Worcester is seeking a motivated and detail-driven Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity. The Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day lifecycle of a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, handling premium sizes ranging from £5k to £100k.
  • Act as the primary, professional point of contact for clients, building trust and maintaining exceptional retention rates.
  • Execute full broking exercises for renewals, handle mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and process new business queries.
  • Liaise and negotiate confidently with underwriters and insurers to construct tailored packages (including Commercial Combined, Liability, Motor Fleet, and Package policies).
  • Prepare accurate policy documentation and maintain records in strict alignment with FCA guidelines and Consumer Duty principles.
  • Work collaboratively with regional Account Executives to ensure seamless internal handovers and client servicing.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience handling commercial or SME general insurance products is essential.
  • A solid understanding of core commercial lines (Property, Liability, Fleet, Indemnity).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications (familiarity with system Acturis is a major plus).
  • Must live within a commutable distance of the Worcester office.
  • An interest in pursuing or continuing professional qualifications (such as Cert CII or Dip CII) is highly encouraged and supported.
