The Role

This is a critical role focused on maintaining the integrity of our financial data and ensuring smooth transactions between our clients and insurance partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurer Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of insurer statements against our internal back-office systems.
- Credit Control: Monitor aged debt and liaise with account handlers to ensure timely premium collection.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process BACS payments for insurer settlements and client refunds.
- Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in premium amounts, commissions, or tax (IPT) calculations.
- Banking: Daily posting of cash receipts and bank statement reconciliation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Experience: Previous experience in a finance role (Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper) is essential. Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong Excel skills and the ability to handle high volumes of data.
- Systems: Familiarity with insurance software Acturis is a major plus.
- Traits: Methodical, organized, and capable of working to month-end deadlines.
