We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Management Accountant to join a busy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their management accounting experience within a supportive environment, gaining exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and business partnering while contributing to ongoing finance projects and process improvements.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you'll play a key role in the production of accurate financial information and support the wider finance function with both month-end and year-end activities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
  • Producing financial analysis to identify trends and provide business insights.
  • Completing month-end activities including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting with year-end reporting and external audit requirements.
  • Supporting finance projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Providing financial support and guidance to stakeholders across the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and financial procedures.
  • Assisting the Head of Corporate Accounting and wider finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting.

Key skills

  • Newly qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or equivalent), or be a strong part-qualified accountant with relevant experience working for Big 4.
  • Previous experience preparing management accounts.
  • Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business.
  • A proactive approach with a desire to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
