Commercial Insurance Account Handler
Location – Edgware – North West London – Part time 3 days a week considered
Salary – up to £40k basic (DOE)– and Flexible Benefits
25 days holiday, Bank Holidays– potential of some Hybrid after probation
Our client is a leading National Insurance Broker and they are now due to continued growth looking for a Commercial Account Handler to add to the team. This is a unique position as our client is open to existing handlers who are looking for their next step in their career or those wanting to move up from a SME handling position to a commercial handling role.
Our client trades on an open market policy allowing access to all markets to provide the client base with the most competitive terms and cover available on the market. This is an exciting role which will include the day-to-day handling of the existing portfolio of business for renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business.
The role of Account Handler – General Insurance:
- Build strong relationships with clients
- Providing quotes for commercial business – combined, liability, fleet and package policies
- New business, mid-term adjustments and renewals
- Full broking exercises undertaken on new business and renewals
- Dealing with premiums of £5k – £100k
- Liaise with insurers to find the best deal for your client
- Present the options back to your client
The Requirements of the Account Handler – General Insurance:
- Previous commercial insurance experience essential
- Live within commutable distance of the office
- Experience with MS applications
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
