We are excited to be working with a well established law firm with offices in London and East of England who are going through a transition period and projected to grow substantially. This is an excellent opportunity to join at a really exciting time where you will be joining a busy approachable HR team. Reporting directly into the HR Director you will be working within a mainly operational role where you will be managing ER cases, developing policies and improving processes as well as working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that the HR objectives are aligned with the business. The role will involve travelling once a week (fully expensed) to their offices in Cambridgeshire, but will be based from the London office.
Duties include:
- Leading on complex employee relation cases across the full employee lifecycle
- Applying HR policies with commercial insight and understanding the challenges the teams face
- Improving the HR processes to ensure compliance, consistency and efficiency
- Working and liaising with other teams when issues arise that cross over between areas
- Recognising when issues need escalation to Director, ensuring appropriate involvement in significant issues
- Building confidence and trust with all levels of the firm, offering practical advice
- Drafting policies and updating contracts
- Coaching and mentoring employees
- Supporting on strategic projects led by the HR Directors, including DEI
Key skills:
- CIPD level 7 qualified
- Experience leading on complex employee relation cases
- Excellent communication skills
