About the Role

As a Protection Advisor / Protection Broker, you will be responsible for providing expert protection advice to new and existing clients, working closely with a team of successful mortgage-only advisors who will generate a consistent pipeline of leads. With full administrative and compliance support, you can focus on what you do best—advising and protecting clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering whole-of-market protection advice, including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, family income benefit, and buildings and contents insurance.
  • Managing a pipeline of pre-qualified and booked appointments delivered directly to your diary by the in-house team.
  • Conducting thorough client fact-finds to identify protection needs and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Providing protection reviews and recommending product upgrades or new solutions as client circumstances evolve.
  • Maintaining accurate client records using the firm’s CRM and ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Working autonomously as a home-based Protection Advisor, while remaining a valuable part of a collaborative national team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 12–24 months’ experience as a Protection Advisor or Protection Broker.
  • A strong understanding of personal protection insurance products and compliance requirements.
  • Experience dealing with mortgage-related protection and liaising with mortgage advisors or broker networks.
  • Proven success in a target-driven environment with a history of high earnings and strong client outcomes.
  • Ability to work from home effectively, managing your own time and appointments.
  • Confident, empathetic, and able to build long-term relationships with a diverse client base.
