Overview
Cameron James Professional Recruitment is representing a leading national mortgage brokerage seeking an experienced New Build and Protection Mortgage Advisor to support their expanding network of new-build developer sites and shared ownership providers across Surrey. This home-based position is well suited to a CeMAP-qualified advisor with experience in new build lending, shared ownership schemes and protection advice. With a strong flow of pre-qualified leads from major housebuilders, housing associations and partner brokers across Surrey, the role offers excellent earning potential and complete flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- You will provide whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice to new build purchasers, shared ownership buyers and first-time buyers across Surrey. This includes completing affordability assessments, sourcing suitable lenders, submitting applications and managing cases through to completion, ensuring compliant, accurate advice at all times.
- You will develop and maintain close working relationships with local new-build developers and site sales teams, ensuring frequent communication, strong referral levels and smooth coordination on time-sensitive transactions.
- Protection advice will form a key part of your role, including life insurance, critical illness and income protection.
Ideal Candidate
- You must be CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified with previous experience offering regulated mortgage and protection advice.
- Strong experience with new build lending, shared ownership criteria, developer processes and Help to Buy-style schemes is highly desirable.
- You should be confident working independently in a self-employed structure, well organised and able to work to new-build timescales.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both clients and developers are essential.
