We are currently working with a fantastic company within the Healthcare industry who are recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Leader to manage a busy team of HR Advisors, providing guidance and support across the business.

This is a home based position although travel to London will be required occasionally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior HR professional to take ownership of a high-performing advisory function, acting as the contact for complex employee relations issues while also working closely with the HR Director on wider people strategy and organisational priorities.

Your role will be to lead, manage and develop the HR Advisory Team, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality HR advice across the organisation.

You will be overseeing complex ER cases and provide expert guidance on matters including disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management, absence, redundancy and other employment law issues.

As a senior member of the HR team, you will also stand in for the HR Director when needed, providing operational and strategic HR leadership and representing the HR function at senior management level.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading, coaching and developing the HR Advisory Team.
  • Managing and overseeing complex and high-risk employee relations cases.
  • Providing expert advice on UK employment law and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Deputising for the HR Director and contributing to wider people strategy and organisational priorities.
  • Supporting TUPE, organisational change and other key HR projects.
  • Working closely with the Recruitment and HR Administration teams to ensure an integrated HR service.
  • Producing HR reports, dashboards and workforce insights to support decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement across HR advisory and ER processes.

Key skills

  • Confident and experienced HR Professional with extensive experience with dealing with complex/ high volume employee relations
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified
  • Strong background within a Senior HR Advisor or Management role (previous management experience is essential)
  • TUPE Experience
  • Healthcare sector or another regulated environment industry experience
  • Strong employment law and complex ER expertise.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently in a home-based environment, with occasional travel to London and other sites.
