Buxton, Derbyshire (Hybrid working available). Our clients are a well-established, independent financial advice (IFA) firm based in the heart of Buxton and as they continue to grow, are looking for an ambitious, technical professional to join the team in a hybrid role. This position bridges the gap between high-level paraplanning and face-to-face client advising, providing a fully funded, transparent route to becoming a fully qualified Financial Adviser.
If you are an experienced Paraplanner or a Senior IFA Administrator looking to step up into advising, this role is tailored for you. You will enjoy the stability of a strong base salary alongside an immediate, highly lucrative reward structure. Unlike traditional advisory roles, all client leads are fully provided by the firm from day one. Furthermore, the monthly bonus structure has no minimum threshold, meaning you are rewarded directly for your hard work and client successes from your very first case.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Paraplanning: Write comprehensive, compliant suitability reports and conduct fund research while you transition into your advising role.
- Client Relationship Management: Shadow senior advisers, attend client meetings, and gradually take ownership of incoming client leads and existing client reviews.
- Financial Advice: Provide holistic financial planning across pensions, investments, and protection as you build toward achieving CAS and beyond.
- Compliance & Professional Development: Maintain high ethical standards, working closely with our compliance framework while utilising our full study support to progress your qualifications.
Requirements:
- Experience: A strong background within an IFA environment as a Paraplanner or senior administrator. You must know how to draft complex suitability reports.
- Qualifications: Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified (DipPFS / CII / CISI) or very close to completion.
- Location: Based within a commutable distance of Buxton. This role offers the perfect balance for someone looking to escape the exhausting daily commute into Manchester or Sheffield city centres.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and a genuine drive to build a long-term advisory career.
Immediate Earning Potential: A starting base of £38k – £42k with a realistic second-year OTE of £65k+.
Guaranteed Career Progression: Your base salary automatically increases to £45,000 the moment you achieve full CAS status.
