Cameron James Professional Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker to join a highly successful and expanding estate agency and financial services business in Basildon.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious mortgage professional seeking a role with strong earning potential, a consistent flow of warm leads and genuine career progression. You will benefit from up to 15 appointments per week, dedicated administrative support and the guidance of an experienced Area Mortgage Manager, allowing you to focus on providing excellent advice and converting opportunities into completed business.

Working Hours
Five days per week, including Saturdays, with two Saturdays off per month.
Monday to Friday: 08:30–17:30
Saturday: 09:00–17:00
The Role
As a Mortgage Advisor / Mortgage Broker, you will work closely with established estate agency branches, providing mortgage and protection advice to customers purchasing, moving or remortgaging their homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional mortgage and protection advice tailored to individual customer needs.
- Managing mortgage applications from initial consultation through to completion.
- Building strong relationships with customers, estate agency colleagues and introducers.
- Converting warm leads and appointments into completed mortgage and protection business.
- Identifying opportunities from existing customers, remortgages and referrals.
- Promoting suitable insurance and protection solutions, including Legal & General products.
- Liaising with lenders, underwriters and administration teams to progress applications.
- Working collaboratively with estate agency colleagues to maximise business opportunities.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and FCA compliance.
- Achieving individual and team performance targets.
Candidate Requirements
- CeMAP 1 or equivalent qualification.
- Proven mortgage advisory experience, with CAS status preferred.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A motivated, target-driven and customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage a busy appointment diary.
- A professional attitude and a genuine desire to develop a successful career in mortgage advice.
