WELCOME TO A FIVE-STAR OPPORTUNITY. We have a unique opportunity for a Wedding and Special Events Executive to join our team. Situated on the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland's breathtaking jewel, Cameron House is a magnificent 5-star resort. Uniquely positioned where the Scottish Highlands meet the Lowlands, this 17th-century baronial estate is rich in character and history. Cameron House offers an award-winning Spa with a rooftop infinity pool, an 18-hole championship golf course, an extensive selection of resort activities, and a choice of five restaurants and bars to cater to every taste.

Our 208 bedrooms are an exquisite blend of traditional and contemporary, or guests can opt for a home from home in one of our 115 self-catering lodges or luxurious Mansion House suites. The iconic lochside setting is a timeless celebration of grandeur and natural beauty. Spanning 400 acres of picturesque Scottish countryside, with adventure on the doorstep. Loch Lomond, with its impressive backdrop, is the perfect location for a variety of water and land activities, including speedboat tours, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, 4X4 off-road driving, falconry, and more.

THE ROLE – Wedding and Events Executive. As part of the Sales and Events team, the Wedding & Events Executive is responsible for the detailed planning and organisation of our many weddings and special events across our facilities at Cameron House. Some key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Providing creative proposals and accurate quotations
  • Driving conversion
  • Managing our couples wedding journey from enquiry stage, through planning and onto their special day, ensuring the smallest of details is taken care of.
  • Creating and distributing detailed event function sheets
  • Initiating customer follow up for feedback
  • Being on hand to ensure the wedding day goes as planned and provide support where needed
  • Liaising with operational teams
  • Planning and delivering show rounds for prospective guests
  • Actively seeking out, and attending, external exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Creating and hosting onsite wedding exhibitions and open days.
  • Delivery of revenue conversion targets
  • Maximising occupancy, revenue and profitability
  • Participate in relevant sales blitz’s
  • Maintaining client accounts using Delphi FDC, Opera and other systems
  • Reporting any critical issues relating to any upcoming weddings and variances revenues.
  • Proposing ideas to improve services and event quality.
  • Managing 3rd party suppliers
  • Supporting to the sales and events department

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Previous recent experience in Conferencing/Weddings or Event Sales role in a 4/5* hotel environment. Strong sales techniques including upselling, negotiating and closing skills. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines. Strong Interpersonal skills, and command of the English language both written and verbal. Strong IT skills with knowledge of Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Delphi FDC/Resort Suite would also be beneficial. A driving Licence would be an advantage due to the spread out nature of the resort facilities.
