THE ROLE: As Front Office Reception Supervisor you will report to the Reception Manager and supervise a large reception team in the exceptional delivery of 5* service on check in and check out. Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Guest check-in and check-out, billing, queries, resort knowledge, and call handling.
  • Leading daily briefings and handovers.
  • Organising daily workload, delegating tasks and coordinating breaks.
  • Monitoring performance via checklists and SOPs.
  • Providing feedback, and undertaking informal counselling to support improved performance.
  • Supporting the team with operational issues as they arise.
  • On job training of new employees.
  • Handling and resolving guest feedback.
  • Departmental requisitions.
  • Billing queries, adjustments and recoveries.
  • Allocations and queued rooms.
  • No shows.
  • Cash ups and banking.

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

  • HND or equivalent/ or equivalent experience in hospitality.
  • Current or recent experience in Reception/Front Office/Reservations within 100+ bedroom hotel or resort at 4/5* standard.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in use of Microsoft Word & Excel, experience with Resortsuite or similar property management systems beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
