THE ROLE: With ambition to be the best Grill Restaurant in Scotland, Cameron Grill sits in the heart of Cameron House with wonderful views across Loch Lomond. This setting is intimate, elegant and welcoming, and accommodates 180 covers. This classical grill offers A la Carte and TDH menus which focus on local ingredients. There’s a strong emphasis on seasonality and provenance, with Scottish bred beef, Loch Fyne seafood, and eggs from our local farm. As Demi Chef de Partie you will assist with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation which will include:

  • Preparing food, cooking and mis en place
  • Receiving, and safe storage of deliveries
  • Performing basic cleaning duties according to schedules ensuring regular sanitization of all workstations and hand contact surfaces
  • Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers and recording
  • Accurately measuring ingredients
  • Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Preparing basic salads and sauces
  • Plating and presenting food
  • Supporting the kitchen porter team as required

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

  • SVQ in Food Production at SCQF Level 5 or equivalent qualifications or experience
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification preferred
  • Work experience within a professional kitchen
  • To be thorough, with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly build excellent working relationships
  • Basic IT skills
