THE ROLE: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager as a Maintenance Assistant you will be part of a small maintenance team working closely with all areas. Your primary focus will be on the continued maintenance and upkeep of our many buildings throughout the resort. This is an extremely varied role and you will be expected to be able to assist with many basic tasks from plumbing, joinery and painting to changing bulbs and dealing with guest maintenance issues. Key duties of the position will be:
- Routine preventative maintenance and corrective repairs involving Painting
- Basic joinery
- Basic tiling
- Silicone sealing of bathroom fixtures
- Basic plumbing including unblocking drains and toilets
- Replacing lamps
- Working at height
- Resetting and starting of plant and equipment
- Fire alarm testing
- Minor electrical checks and repairs
- Cleaning of plant, equipment and work areas including plant rooms
- Compliance checks and records
- Orders and requisitions
- Supervision of contractors whilst on site.
