The Role
Our gardens and grounds team are responsible for the maintenance and presentation of our gardens and grounds around our beautiful estate on Loch Lomond. You’ll be part of an energetic and enthusiastic team, delivering excellence in all weathers.
Responsibilities
- Planting of trees, shrubs, bulbs and plants
- Watering and fertilising of plants and turf
- Dead heading of plants and pruning of shrubs and trees
- Monitoring and maintaining the health of plants, shrubs and trees
- Mulching, edging and weeding
- Pest control
- Cleaning of signage
- Lawn mowing and leaf blowing
- Maintain all gardening equipment and machinery
- Maintenance and safety of the estates pathways and roads
- Providing general assistance with all aspects of the outdoor spaces on the resort
Shift Pattern & Physical Demands
Shift pattern: Summer shifts 6am‑3.30pm, Winter shifts 7.30am‑3.00pm. The role involves a significant degree of manual handling – pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying, as well as long periods standing.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical experience of being a gardener preferred, though knowledge and love of plant life considered
- Experience with the use and operation of grass cutting equipment
- A passion for the outdoors
- A firm understanding of Health & Safety
- Spraying qualification would be an advantage
- UK Driving Licence is also preferred
