Situated on the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland's breathtaking jewel, Cameron House is a magnificent 5-star resort. Uniquely positioned where the Scottish Highlands meet the Lowlands, this 17th-century baronial estate is rich in character and history. Cameron House offers an award-winning Spa with a rooftop infinity pool, an 18-hole championship golf course, an extensive selection of resort activities, and a choice of five restaurants and bars to cater to every taste.

Our Leisure Club, based in the Main House, is a popular family-friendly club with a host of many-loved features: a family beach pool with water features for kids, an adult pool for serious swimming, a flume slide, a bubble pool, a steam room and sauna. A brand-new gym at the back of the club features new Technogym equipment throughout and is supported with two purpose-built spin and exercise studios.

As a member of our team of Fitness Instructors you will report to the Leisure and Membership Manager and the club senior team. You will support members and guests to improve their fitness through gym inductions, and be accessible within the club to provide ongoing motivation, advice and assistance on fitness. You will also be trained to deliver group fitness sessions as part of the weekly schedule of classes available, and generally support the day-to-day leisure club operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing gym inductions and professional personal training sessions.
  • Delivering fitness classes and sessions, including Les Mills training and the Cameron House Resort Run.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the gym and studios.
  • Promoting fitness sessions and classes to club membership.
  • Supporting leisure club operations (changing facilities, poolside, reception and membership duties).
  • Water sampling and testing and follow-up.
  • Monitoring equipment, ensuring secure storage and reporting faults/defects.
  • Providing First-Aid assistance and follow-up reporting.
  • Handling guest and member feedback and resolving issues.

  • People who will always go beyond what our guests expect from us to make their stay a special and memorable one.
  • People who show the same level of care for their team as our guests – it’s about supporting our colleagues to be the best they can be and to do the best job they can.
  • People who will respect and protect the magical place we work in – it’s up to all of us to look after our environment and never take it for granted.

What Are the Requirements?

  • Current/recent experience of working within the fitness industry, with specific 5* hotel leisure experience an advantage.

  • STA or NLPQ Lifeguard Qualification (or Emergency Pool Responder Qualification Level 2) and First Aid at Work Qualification preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience of hotel systems would be an advantage.
  • Due to the patterns of work, layout and location of the resort a UK Driving Licence would be beneficial.

What’s in it for you?

  • Pension scheme and Wagestream financial services.
  • Long-service awards involving recognition with high street shopping vouchers and overnight stays.
  • Enhanced holidays with long-service.
