Mixed or Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated vet with experience to join our mixed practice 13 vet team at Cameron and Greig Vets.

We are a busy, proudly independent and genuinely mixed practice based in Milnathort with branches in Cowdenbeath and Tillicoultry from where we cover Perth and Kinross, Fife and Clackmannanshire. We are in a fantastic semi‑rural location but only 30 minutes from the bright lights of Edinburgh and 1 hour from Glasgow.

Our work is generally 65% small animal and 35% large animal. The large animal work involves a good amount of progressive dairy work, beef and sheep, with a smaller amount of first opinion equine work.

We are actively involved with our farmers and have all the necessary equipment to do a good job. On the small animal side we are well equipped including digital x‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and a wide range of in‑house lab options including an Imagyst scanner for cytology and Ovacyte for FWEC’s in large animals.

Day to day there is scope for our mixed vets to lean on more small or large animal work depending on your interest as we have a high caseload in both. There is also an option for a small animal‑only role with no on‑call.

We have a fun, progressive team with regular social outings and monthly clinical club breakfast meetings.

The role would involve a 1‑in‑8 out of hours rota for the mixed vets with considerable time of in‑lieu. We offer plenty of support, private healthcare, a good CPD budget and a salary up to £65,000.
